HISTORY

The work of planting The Boys’ Brigade seed in Macau started in the early 1980s by the East Asia Regional Fellowship (EARF). In the 1990, The Boys’ Brigade in Hong Kong was given the tasked by the EARF Executive Committee to lay the ground work of starting The Boys’ Brigade in Macau. The effort paid off when the Macau Methodist Church started the 1st Macau Company in 1999.

PRESENT

The Boys’ Brigade in Macau celebrated its 12th Anniversary in 2012. As of 2012, The Boys’ Brigade Macau has 180 members with 45 officers and 5 The Boys’ Brigade companies.

 

The membership is organised into four (4) age group sections namely the Anchor Section (6-8 years), the Junior Section (9-12 years), the Company Section (12-15 years) and the Senior Section (16-19 years).

FUTURE

The employment of one full-time staff will be the main priority to further develop the work in Macau apart from the emphasis on training to raise more leaders from among The Boys’ Brigade members to take up role as The Boys’ Brigade officers in the future.
